The book was specifically removed from high school reading lists, so even though it's not young children, is it okay? I am finding good information so far.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Dr. Gruner,
I have been working on my proposal, and just realized I should probably get my book approved before going too far. I have chosen to write the final paper on option 2, a banned book, and would like to use the Kite Runner. I know you want it to be children's fiction, but there are children in the story, and teenagers have been assigned to read the book in some high schools...does it qualify?
Yeah, I'm definitely interested, it seems like it would be more flexible than the other opportunities for sure. I'll send her an email today and see if we can work something out with the hours. Thanks!!
That sounds interesting, though is it possible for me to help her in several large time slots? If it's not I'll see if I can work it in, my schedule is just fluctuating right and left with my job, so I'm worried about conflicts later in the semester. Either way, is there any more information you can give me, at your/her convenience?
Professor Gruner,
I emailed Mrs. Price and haven't heard back from her yet, but I would like to help with the Anderson event in October so that way I at least have some volunteer scheduled.
Thanks!
Today I had my first visit with the William Byrd Center today, and schedules were set. Will be there a specific board for the volunteers that are at a the same locations? See you tomorrow.

Dr. Gruner,
Actually I am going to be a mentor for the AMP program at Henderson. I will also be staying afterwards to help in the classrooms either as a reading or math tutor.
